  • KY-a-Guar is a nonionic, polymeric thickener that develops high viscosity in a short time period. Dispersions of this nonbuffered polymer will be basic. They must be adjusted to neutral pH, preferably with an organic acid. Rapid viscosity development will follow. 
  • KY-a-Guar is a high molecular weight modified guar, non-ionic thickening agent that is
    effective at low concentrations for different formulations. It is compatible with cationic
    surfactants, has good compatibility with electrolytes and stability over a large range of pH, and
    enables the formulation of hydroalcoholic gels offering a unique "fluid" smooth feel.
    KY-a-Guar provides outstanding skin conditioning, protection and repair in a wide range of
    products. It also can enhance the skin’s resistance to irritations caused by chemical detergent,
    and soften skin surface with smooth feel. With its high compatibility with electrolytes and
    hydrophilic liquids, KY-a-Guar is ideal for thickening in the formulations. It is ideal for use in a
    wide range of cosmetic applications including moisturizers, lotions, cleaners, make-up
    removers, sunscreens, body shampoos, shower gels, shaving and after-shave products.
